Tight rolls through centre drive and pressure roller

This winder produces consistently tight rolls of artificial grass or high-piled carpet, including qualities that would sag between the winding rollers on a conventional winder. The core is placed by the operator who then attaches the fabric, after which the winding cycle runs automatically. An expansion shaft in the tube is driven by a centre drive, which builds up tension right from the start of the cycle, while a pressure roller compacts the roll further as it grows. Combined with the speed difference between the separately driven winding rollers, this gives full control over the winding quality. The finished roll can be finished with a basic one-layer stretch film on the winder itself; to ready it for a final packaging of choice on another station without losing tension.
